Pablo Ancona is a Brooklyn, New York based artist, who specializes in murals, style writing, and illustration.
He grew up in a family of artists and photographers who encouraged creativity and exposed him to the world of music and art from around the world. At an early age, he became enamored with the subcultures of skateboarding and Hip-Hop, whose styles and ethos has become the central inspiration for his artwork. Pablo studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, followed by the College of Santa Fe, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Documentary Studies with a minor in Fine Art. He has worked in a variety of fields including audio/video editing, carpentry and teaching youth art classes while continuing to hone his skills and create artwork for commissions, collaborations, gallery shows, and community projects. Aside from art, Pablo is a Dj and vinyl record collector, which continuously influences and informs his visual work as well. He enjoys traveling and has lived and worked in New York, New Mexico, Chicago, Boston, and São Paulo, Brazil. |
